Three artists received recognition at the closing reception of the 12h Annual Penfield Art Association at Legacy at Willow Pond Autumn Art Show and Sale.

Anne Sakmyster’s watercolor painting Barn on Scribner received the Penfield Scene Award, selected by Penfield Town Supervisor Tony LaFountain.

Erika Hutch received the Visitor’s Choice Award for Reverie No. 2 and the Legacy Residents’ Merit Award for Girl at the Window.

The Legacy Residents’ Choice Award went to The British are Coming! By Barbara Rice.

The 2016 autumn show, in cooperation with the Legacy at Willow Pond senior living apartment complex, included 123 paintings by 45 area artists. Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has more than 100 members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
