Four artists received recognition at the closing reception of the 13th Annual Penfield Art Association at Legacy at Willow Pond Autumn Art Show and Sale.
Pat Gough received the Penfield Scene Award for her oil painting Smith Cemetery, Gloria Drive, selected by Penfield Town Supervisor Tony LaFountain.
Erika Hutch received the Legacy Residents’ Choice Award for her pastel Quiet Interlude. The Resident’s Merit Award went to Ella Noble for her colored pencil work Relaxing.
The Visitors’ Choice Award went to Autumn Glory, an acrylic painting by Nicole Overfield.
The autumn show, presented in cooperation with the Legacy at Willow Pond senior living apartment complex, included more than 100 paintings by 38 area artists. Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has more than 100 members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
