An exhibit of 80 paintings by 28 area artists will be on display in the 14th Annual Penfield Art Association at Legacy at Willow Pond Autumn Art Show and Sale.
The 2021 exhibit — PAA’s first live show since February 2020 — opens Sunday, Sept. 26, and runs through Friday, Oct. 29. An opening reception takes place 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 26. A closing reception and awards presentation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Oct. 30. The show is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Pat Gough’s oil painting, “Sunflowers at Wickham Farm,” is a Penfield Scene category entry.
The artwork can be viewed throughout Legacy at Willow Pond, an independent senior living community at 40 Willow Pond Way, Penfield. In conjunction with the show at the Legacy an online show can be viewed at penfieldartassociation.com starting Sept. 26.
A special feature of this show is a salute to the Town of Penfield with an award category for works depicting local scenes and landmarks.
The autumn show is one of three annual exhibits presented by the Penfield Art Association. Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has more than 70 members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
