Awards were presented to three Penfield Art Association members at the closing reception of the 19th Annual Penfield Art Association at Legacy at Willow Pond Autumn Art Show and Sale.
For the second year, Nancy Mallo received the Penfield Scene Award for her pastel, Shadow Lake at Whalen Road. Her piece was selected by Town Supervisor Debbie Drawe from a selection of paintings featuring works depicting local scenes and landmarks.
Two other awards were presented. Fred Smith received the Visitors Choice Award for his mixed-media painting Farm. John Heister won the Residents Choice Award for his oil painting Domesticity on the Range.

The show, which closed Oct. 28, featured 77 paintings by 33 PAA members. An online companion exhibit featuring some of the works can be viewed here.
The autumn show is one of three annual exhibits presented by the Penfield Art Association. Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has members from throughout the Rochester area.PAA is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
