Wwatercolor artist Dave Gardner will give a presentation titled “The Timeless Lessons of Turner & Monet” at PAA’s Nov. 15 meeting.
Dave studied at the University of Minnesota in the School of Architecture and Design and practiced that profession for 50 years, retiring in 2020. He now teaches at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery’s Creative Workshop and is a member of the Pittsford Fine Art co-op gallery. He belongs to many local and national watercolor associations and his work has received numerous awards.
“I have always loved the challenge of transforming a blank piece of paper into a drawing or painting with meaning and emotional ties to my vision,” Dave says. “The act of creating has been the theme of my life.” To learn more, visit his website
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in the Commons area at Penfield High School, 25 High School Drive. Following a brief business session, Dave’s presentation will begin about 7:30 p.m..
