Penfield Art Association kicks off the 2016-17 season on Tuesday, Sept. 20, with a business meeting followed by a presentation by Rochester artist Valerie Larsen.
Larsen is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and the Watercolor USA Honor Society. She has participated in numerous national exhibitions.
She has a B. A. from the University of Buffalo. Her work appears in five editions of the Splash Best of Watercolor books by Northlight Books. She teaches regional workshops, has been an instructor of watercolor at the Memorial Art Gallery at the University of Rochester, and was an artist-in-residence at Rochester’s Artisan Works from 1998-2004.
Valerie has her studio and gallery space in the Anderson Arts Building, located in Rochester’s Neighborhood of the Arts. For more information, see valerielarsen.com

All meetings begin promptly at 7 p.m. in the Commons area at Penfield High School, 25 High School Drive, Penfield. As you approach the building from High School Drive, veer right at the fork and turn left into the first parking lot. Enter the school via the doors located there, turn right and go to the end of the hall to the Commons. Guests are welcome.
