PAA member and award-winning artist Victoria Brustowicz will be the featured presenter at PAA’s first meeting of the season, 7 p.m. Sept. 20, 2022, with a demonstration of alla prima oil painting.
She replaces Paul Allen Taylor, who is unexpectedly unable to participate due to a COVID 19 exposure.
The meeting takes place at The Commons area, Penfield High School,25 High School Drive, Penfield. It is open to the public.
A native of Rochester, Brzustowicz graduated from Wells College with a BA in Studio Art. Brzustowicz focused on abstract painting for most of her career, but in 2015 she was introduced to the techniques of painting alla prima.. Her work explores the line between abstraction and representation, with an emphasis on surface and mark-making. Brzustowicz is co-founder and chair of the Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters. She teaches at Flower City Arts Center and at The Art Stop in Penfield. Her website is Victoria B Creative
