The judge for this year’s show is Sarah Morgan, assistant professor of Fine Arts at Finger Lakes Community College where she teaches drawing, painting and printmaking. She received a B.A. from Houghton College and M.F.A. from the New York Academy of Art, specializing in painting in both programs. Morgan prefers to work in oil paint, although with two young children, she’s been focusing more on drawing lately. She is a signature member of the Rochester Art Club and her work has been shown most recently at the Williams-Insalaco Gallery at FLCC and the Oxford Gallery in Rochester. A high point of her early career was being part of an invitational show at John Pence Gallery in San Francisco.
Chair of the show is Nancy Colsman and co-chair is Thinh Nguyen.
Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has more than 100 members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts. www.penfieldartassociation.com.
