2018 Spring Show Awards Presented

Martha Sweeney won best of show for ‘Sunlit,’ top left, and the PAA members’ choice award for ‘Gardener’s Reward,’ at right.

Thirty-three members were honored for outstanding work at the Penfield Art Association 2018 Spring Show.

The awards were presented at the artists’ reception June 6. The show, which took place place June 4 – 9 at the Penfield Community Center, featured 150 works by 51 artists.

The judge was Patricia Tribastone, a nationally recognized artist painting primarily in pastel and oil. A full-time artist who maintains a gallery/studio in Canandaigua, N.Y., Triabastone’s work has been in many national exhibitions and she is a Master Signature member of the Pastel Society of America and a Signature member and Board of Directors member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.

In addition to the judge’s selections, the Visitors’ Choice Award went to Three at Work by Kathy Warren. Gardener’s Reward by Martha Sweeney won the vote of PAA members.
