Two PAA members received awards for their paintings at the Nov. 1 closing reception of the 21st Fall Show and Sale at The Addison of Willow Pond.

Schutt’s Apple Mill by Bill McCullough

Bill McCullough received the Penfield Scene Award for his watercolor, Schutt’s Apple Mill. Penfield Town Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts judged the special category and presented the award.

For the first time, the Visitors’ Choice and Residents’ Choice awards went to one artist. Terry Bossert’s watercolor painting, Anna of Cape Vincent, received the most votes in both categories. In total, Terry’s four paintings received almost 20 percent of the votes cast.

A total of 103 ballots were cast (80-Visitor and 23 Resident). The paintings of 26 artists received 1 or more votes.

PAA partners each year to present this show with The Addison of Willow Pond, an independent senior living community at 40 Willow Pond Way, Penfield.

The Fall Show is one of three annual exhibits presented by the Penfield Art Association. Formed in 1963, the Penfield Art Association today has members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
