A juried exhibit of recent paintings by members will be on display Feb. 2-28 in the annual Penfield Art Association Winter Show and Sale at Barnes & Noble, 3349 Monroe Ave., Pittsford.
The opening reception and awards ceremony is 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4. The show is open every day in the second floor community room during Barnes & Noble store hours.

The juror for the show is award-winning Rochester artist and teacher Barbara Jablonski. She is president and founder of the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters. She is also a signature artist and member of the artist faculty of the Rochester Art Club. She competes regularly in local, state and national judged and juried competitions.
Jablonski’s work can be seen at the Rochester Memorial Art Gallery Store, Sylvan Starlight Creations Artisan Gallery, and the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in Canandaigua, NY. She presents plein air painting workshops in oil and acrylics and demonstrations throughout New York.
Co-chairs for this show are Nancy Mallo and Susan Fredericks Hodes, with assistance from past chair Linda Delaney.
The Winter Art Show and Sale is one of three annual exhibits presented by the Penfield Art Association. Formed in 1963, PAA today has more than 60 members from throughout the Rochester area. The organization is open to artists of all skill levels and people interested in the two-dimensional visual arts.
