Twenty-five artist-members of Penfield Art Association received recognition for their work featured in the 2026 Spring Show & Sale.
Distant Sand Dunes by Brenda Lyness received Best of Show. The Best Small Work award went to A Place called “Morning” by Kathy Lindsley.
Awards were presented at a reception June 2. The show, which features 135 paintings by 41 artists, is on view through June 6 at the Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Road, Penfield (open 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, June 3- 4; 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, June 5; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 6).
Many of the award-winning paintings are included in a companion online exhibit.

The awards judge for this show is Jean Stephens, who holds a BFA in printmaking and painting and a Masters in Art Education from Rochester Institute of Technology. She works in a variety of media including oil, encaustics, graphite drawing, printmaking and collage. Her work has been selected for national juried exhibitions and is included in both private and corporate collections. She currently offers art instruction at the Mill Art Center and Gallery in Honeoye Falls.
