Three PAA members received awards at the closing reception Oct. 31 for the 22nd Annual Fall Show at The Village at Willow Pond.
‘Clark Road Barn’ by Bill McCullough
Penfield Town Supervisor Kevin Berry, who selected the winner of the Penfield Scene category, presented the award to Bill McCullough for his watercolor, Clark Road Barn, depicting a historic structure that collapsed and was torn town recently. The weathered white barn was a popular subject for artists; two other paintings of the barn were included in this year’s Penfield Scene exhibit. McCullough won the 2025 Penfield Scene award for his watercolor, Schutt’s Apple Mill.
Terry Bossert’s watercolor 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse received the Resident’s Choice award for 2026, chosen by a vote of residents of The Village at Willow Pond senior living community. Last year, Bossert received both the Residents’ Choice and Visitors’ Choice awards.
John Heister was winner of the 2026 Visitors’ Choice Award for his watercolor, Quiet on the Farm.
